What Valentine's Day is good for

In my book the best thing about Valentine's Day is the day after when all the chocolate candy that's been packaged for that particular holiday is put on sale for 1/2 off. There's my haul. The tin is going to be repurposed at some point in time when I've stitched this adorable alphabet I saw stitched on one of the Yuku boards I'm a member of. (If you can't see the picture, just know it's the heart alphabet and you'll be fine.) It apparently will fit on this particular tin. My plan is it stitch it in a pretty brown overdyed except for my own initials which I'll do in a pink that will match the hearts on the tin. It's just to adorable to pass up. I'm sure I have fibers in my stash to do this with and probably even the material. Should be an easy stitch too, so who knows, I might start this one soon so I'll have it to put out next year.

  1. Ya know...I have to admit that I checked the valentine candy in Kroger last night (even though I really don't need any more candy) and it was not half price. :-( Congrats on your haul!

  3. Nice haul of chocolate. I bet the shops here won't be selling any half price.
